  1. The play-within-a-play format that was presented in this episode was very intriguing. Since Renee mentioned the story was already being edited, and that the story for the Green Machine wasn’t really put into the main novel much, I wonder how much work it will take to Hamlet-ize what’s already there?

It would be interesting to see a follow-up podcast (or maybe a post on the blog) that discusses what Renee eventually did with the Green Machine workshop stuff.

I agree, Chris… and since we’ll be having Renee back as a guest HOST (because she is just that awesome), we’ll be able to get a progress report (or better… a URL)!

  2. I could listen to Renee, Big, and Rish talk about anything and I don’t think I’d ever get tired of it. This sounds like a fun book!

  3. Thank you again for such a great experience! I highly recommend The Roundtable Podcast to any writers who want to toss around ideas with some highly creative people. It’s super helpful and a lot of fun.

My brain has been full of Green Machine-related thoughts since listening to the episode. I think you guys were right. This will probably be more than just a supplement to _Rachel Richards Hates Rats_. (The kids’ book has a title now! :) I’m getting very jazzed about it, on its own.

Christopher- I don’t think I’ll need to do too much to the main story to make it match the ideas we talked about for the Green Machine story. I will definitely want to add in the part about the army of rats and my main character’s dismay at that.

Bryan- Thanks! We probably could have gone on all day, if there hadn’t been a time limit…
